The audio output device that karaoke audio will be sent to. On Windows, you will only see the “Default” option due to a limitation in the GStreamer library OpenKJ uses for media playback.
If enabled, stop and pause operations will gracefully fade the karaoke volume out and in rather than just abruptly halting audio output.
If enabled, fade in/out operations will overlap between karaoke and break music. If you have recording enabled, it's best to disable this so you don't wind up recording a bit of the break music at the beginning and end of a singer's performance.
If enabled, karaoke playback will automatically stop if the software detects 5 seconds of silence on the audio track and the last CDG draw command has already occurred. This eliminates long silent delays at the end of some karaoke songs and fades the break music in sooner, reducing the amount of “dead air” at the end of a karaoke performance. Note that this does not work on non-CDG based karaoke files.
If enabled, stereo audio tracks will be converted to mono prior to being output to the audio device. This is handy in situations where you only have one PA speaker setup, your mixer doesn't support stereo, or your speakers aren't positioned in a traditional stereo configuration due to odd venue/stage layouts.
If enabled (and the other recording settings are configured properly) OpenKJ will automatically record karaoke performances to a date-time stamped subdirectory of the selected directory. Recording automatically starts when a karaoke song is started, and ends when the song ends or is manually stopped.
Which audio input device to capture from when karaoke recording is enabled. This can be any valid audio input device on the system, but for best results this should be an input that is either provided by your mixer via USB, or an audio input which is attached to an output from your mixer. Note that on Windows, you will only see a “Default” entry. On Windows platforms, you must control the input device from the Windows audio settings in the OS.
Which audio codec to use when encoding audio recordings. Currently, for lossy codecs, the quality is statically set to a high quality setting and can't be configured. This will likely change in later versions to be configurable.
This controls which directory karaoke recordings are placed in.
